Biography

Azin Asgarian received her B.Sc. degree of Science in Computer Science from University of Tehran in 2011. She has started her Master of Computer Science in September 2015 at University of Toronto under the supervision of Babak taati and David Fleet. Her main research interests lie in computer vision, and machine learning.

Azin joined IATSL in September of 2015 as a Master student in Computer Science and she is currently working on “Automated pain detection for older adults with dementia”.  The ultimate goal of the project is to develop inexpensive and viable pain detection system that facilitates regular pain assessment in health-care centers by using computer vision and machine learning techniques.
