Biography

Armen Jeddi is a PhD student at the University of Toronto, working under the supervision of Professor Babak Taati. His research focuses on using computer vision and deep learning to monitor health and rehabilitation. Armen is collaborating with AGE-WELL NCE to advance AI technologies in the age-tech sector. Armen holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, where he studied under Professors Alexander Wong and Mohammad Javad Shafiee. His research has applied deep learning to a wide variety of problems across computer vision tasks.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Armen has extensive industry experience, having worked as a senior and lead machine learning engineer in various companies. His professional background includes developing and implementing machine learning solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and innovation within the tech industry.
