Biography
Amirhossein Kazerouni is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto and a graduate researcher at the Vector Institute. He is fortunate to be supervised by Babak Taati and Michael Brudno. Amirhossein’s research focuses on computer vision, with expertise in generation, 3D reconstruction, and medical image analysis. Before starting his Ph.D. as a direct-entry student, he worked as a remote research assistant at RWTH Aachen University, under the guidance of Prof. Dorit Merhof and Reza Azad, where he worked on diffusion models, neural representations, and medical image segmentation. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Iran University of Science and Technology, where he designed, simulated, and built a self-driving car.
