Biography

Anna is graduating this year with a Specialist degree in Mathematics and its Applications from the University of Toronto, and will be beginning her masters at the University of British Columbia in the fall. Her research interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction and data visualization. She currently leads a joint computer science/anthropology research project predicting and communicating the results of habitat loss on lemur populations in Madagascar.

Anna is working on two assistive technologies projects at IATSL this summer. The first will extend the COACH system to aid in toothbrushing tasks, and the second addresses detection and prevention of unsafe stair use.
