Biography

Andrea received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2019. Previously, she has worked as a software developer on projects ranging from website development, simulation, and embedded development for wearables.

She started her MASc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto in September 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Babak Taati. Working on the AMBIENT project, Andrea’s thesis work explores the use of machine learning to predict parkinsonism severity in gait in older adults with dementia.
