Biography

Canxiu holds a Bachelor of Engineering major in Electrical and Engineering from ChongQing University of Posts and Communication Technology, China, and a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University. Her Master’s research involved developing early ischemic brain stroke detection algorithm using EEG signals on Riemannian manifold. Her research interest lies in Machine Learning and Biomedical data analysis. Furthermore, she was an algorithm developer from Pulse Lab, McMaster University, and developed a real-time motion recognition platform for an arts-based, interactive therapist product for older adults.
