Biography

Daniel is in the final year of his Engineering Science undergraduate with a Major in Machine Intelligence at the University of Toronto. His research interests span fields of robotic assistive technologies, computer vision, deep learning and TinyML.

For Daniel's undergraduate thesis research project, he joined the wearable robotics group under the co-supervision of Dr. Alex Mihailidis and Dr. Brokoslaw Laschowski. The main project focus is to develop a pair of AI-powered smart glasses for sensing and recognition of human-robot walking environments which operates in real time on an embedded microcontroller.

Daniel presented his poster at ICAIR 2023.
