Biography
Michael is a graduate of the B.ASc in Engineering Science (Biomedical Option) program at the University of Toronto. His research interests include machine learning, brain-computer interfaces and computer vision.
Previously, Michael has worked on a non-contact system for sleep monitoring using computer vision. The system outputs physiological signals which provide useful information for diagnosing disorders such as sleep apnea.
For his Master's thesis, Michael is developing a tool for automated assessment of drug-induced dyskinesias in people with Parkinson's disease. This tool will allow more frequent evaluation of symptoms to better inform clinical interventions.
