Victor Monroy

Biography

Victor Monroy completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 2006. As a requisite to obtain his degree, Victor participated in an internship at the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (REL) in Toronto, Ontario with Dr. Milos Popovic as his supervisor. The internship consisted of a redesign of a stimulatory system to test the perception of vibration in the Somatosensory Area I.

After obtaining his degree Victor worked at the General Hospital of Mexico as Coordinator of Technology Evaluation and Cost-Benefit Analysis.

In Fall of 2007, Victor began his Masters in Applied Science at the University of Toronto. His Masters research consists of the development and testing of a computerized system to help autistic children complete self-care activities.
