Biography

Koorosh Roohi is a Biomedical Engineering PhD candidate at University of Toronto. He obtained his bachelor in Computer Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnique) with a thesis on gait recognition using the silhouette of human subjects. His research interests encompass signal processing and computer vision with a focus on using privacy-preserving sensors and solutions like mmWave radar for indoor localization, activity recognition, and human pose estimation in 3D spaces. He also has experiences in generative models focused on video style transfer.
