Biography

Lana Tomlin is an undergraduate student at in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. She is joining the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Rehabilitation Team at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute as a CO-OP student for Spring 2023 under the supervision of Dr. Brokoslaw Laschowski and Dr. Alex Mihailidis, to work on Benchtop testing of regenerative actuators for legged and wearable robotics.

Lana Tomlin has a hands-on background in sensor integration, motor testing, controller design, and testing through projects such as radiation detection, heating control, and power supply design completed at her previous internships, (including Rocket Factory Augsburg, TRIUMF, and the Institute for Quantum Computing) and her design team, Waterloo Rocketry.
