Biography
Maziar was born in Urmia, Iran. He graduated from high school with diploma in mathematics and physics in 2001 (Urmia, Iran). He received his bachelor degree in Computer Software Engineering in 2007, with honor. He will be starting his MASc in Biomedical Engineering in September 2017 at University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Babak Taati. His research interests include Detection of Sleep Related Disorders such Obstructive Sleep Apnea(OSA), Signal Processing and machine learning.
Some of his undergraduate and professional work projects include the design and implementation of High Performance Computing, Grid and Scientific Computing, Cloud Computing and Sensor Networks. Maziar also designed and implemented Iranian National Grid Infrastructure in Institute for studies in theoretical Physics and Mathematics(IPM). In addition, he has practical knowledge of programming in C/C++, PCB Design with Altium and Micro-controller programming (AVR and Arduino).
Beside scientific skills, Maziar also is playing guitar for 14 years and composed some orchestral parts. He also likes artistic photography.
