Paul completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Arts minor), with distinction, from the University of Manitoba in 2010. His final year project involved the development of an ultrasound tomography system for breast cancer imaging. Upon graduation, Paul worked as a research student at the Medical Physics department of CancerCare Manitoba, and later, as an engineering intern at the Diagnostic Imaging Program of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Paul began his Master of Health Science in Clinical Engineering at the University of Toronto in the Fall of 2011. His research will focus on applying computer vision techniques for obstacle classification on an anti-collision and navigation system for powered wheelchairs.
