Zoe Pavlovic
Masters Candidate
Neuroscience (University of Toronto)
Biography
Zoe, as of the fall of 2024, is a first-year MASc student at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute pursuing research centred in the field of Neurodevelopmental disorders under the supervision of Dr. Alex Mihailidis. Her specific research involves the development of an artificial intelligence (AI) tool that will aid in the management of emotional dysregulation (ED) for individuals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Before joining the IATSL lab, Zoe received her Honours Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of Toronto in the spring of 2024. Through her lived experiences as an individual with ADHD and OCD, undergraduate degree, and professional experiences at the Hospital for Sick Children, Zoe has been exposed to a variety of aspects of the clinical treatment processes, sparking her desire to get involved from a research standpoint.
Furthermore, some of Zoe’s other research interests include autism spectrum disorder, disorders comorbid with ADHD, developmental disorders, specialized treatment plans, assistive technologies, and AI implementation in the clinical setting. She hopes to integrate these topics in her present and future involvements within the research realm and her associations with the university.
